The body is always cleansing itself. Sometimes it just needs a little room to do it well.
A seasonal reset — rooted in Chinese medicine, guided by me, tailored to you. Not a kit. Not a crash. A practice of returning to yourself.

Why “reset” and not “detox”?
I used to call this work a “cleanse.” I’ve stopped — and here’s why.
Your body is already an exquisite detoxification system. Your liver, kidneys, lymph, skin, and gut are working around the clock to process everything you breathe, eat, drink, touch, and feel. The real question isn’t “how do I detox?” It’s “am I giving my body what it needs to do its own work — and am I pausing often enough to let it catch up?”
That’s what a seasonal reset is. A pause. A pattern interrupt. A chance to remove what’s in the way and add what’s been missing, so your body’s own intelligence has room to do its job.
Why seasonal?
Chinese medicine has organized around the seasons for over 4,000 years — long before modern science began confirming what our ancestors already knew: your body is a circadian, circannual organism. It runs on rhythms. When we ignore those rhythms, things get stuck. When we work with them, things move.
Each season has an invitation:
- Spring — the liver and gallbladder awaken. Time to move, stretch, get the stuck things flowing again.
- Summer — the heart and small intestine open. Time to celebrate, connect, play.
- Late Summer — the spleen and stomach ground. Time to nourish, simplify, digest.
- Autumn — the lungs and large intestine release. Time to let go of what’s no longer yours to carry.
- Winter — the kidneys and bladder restore. Time to rest, reflect, replenish.
A reset isn’t a one-time event. It’s a rhythm — one you can return to four times a year, in partnership with the seasons your body is already responding to whether you notice it or not.
Who this is for
This work tends to resonate most with people who are:
- Feeling sluggish, foggy, or off without a clear diagnosis
- Coming out of a stressful season — grief, burnout, illness, a big life transition
- Recovering from pharmaceutical use, heavy alcohol, THC, mold exposure, or a high-toxin-load environment
- Noticing that sleep, digestion, skin, or mood aren’t quite what they used to be
- Wanting a structured pause — a container to step out of autopilot and recalibrate
- Preparing for a major life event, pregnancy, or a new chapter and wanting to start clean
And who is it not for? People in acute medical crisis, people with eating disorders or active disordered relationships with food, and people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. For those situations, we have other ways to work together.
How I work
Chinese medicine has organized around the seasons for over 4,000 years — long before modern science began confirming what our ancestors already knew: your body is a circadian, circannual oMost “cleanse programs” online are one-size-fits-all: here’s the kit, follow the protocol, good luck. I don’t work that way.
Every reset I guide starts with a conversation. I want to know what you’re moving through, what your body has been telling you, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re actually capable of committing to this season. From there, we build a plan that fits your life — your schedule, your constitution, your sensitivities, your goals.
A reset with me might include:
- A thorough intake and pattern assessment through the lens of Chinese medicine
- Personalized food and lifestyle guidance for the season you’re in
- Acupuncture and bodywork to support the organ systems doing the heaviest lifting
- Custom herbal formulas if indicated for your pattern
- Qigong and breath practices to move qi and support the nervous system
- Journaling or reflection prompts — because physical resets and emotional resets travel together
- Check-ins with me throughout the process, so you’re not doing this alone
What it won’t include: a branded box of supplements at a fixed price, a rigid protocol you have to white-knuckle through, or promises I can’t keep.
What a reset actually feels like
Most people expect a reset to be about deprivation. In my experience, the ones that actually change people’s lives are about addition — adding in rest, adding in ritual, adding in the foods and practices their body has been asking for all along.
Yes, there’s often something we’re taking out for a window of time. Alcohol, processed foods, a particular stressor, a habit that’s stopped serving you. But the work isn’t the removal. The work is what you discover in the space that opens upwhen it’s gone.
People often tell me that by the end of a reset, what’s changed most isn’t their weight or their digestion — it’s their relationship with themselves.
There is no one right reset for every person, and I’ll never tell you there is. The best first step is a 20-minute discovery call so we can figure out if this is the right work for you, right now.
On that call, we’ll talk about:
- What’s bringing you here
- What season of life (and season of the year) you’re in
- Whether a reset is the right next step, or whether something else might serve you better
- What working together might look like
Do I need to reset?
Maybe. Maybe not. Your body is always detoxifying — the question is whether it’s getting enough support to keep up with your life. If you’re feeling sluggish, foggy, inflamed, or “off” without a clear reason, a seasonal reset can be a powerful intervention. If you’re already in a good rhythm, you may not need one. Taking this test will tell us.
How long does a reset last?
Anywhere from 7 to 28 days, depending on your goals, your constitution, and the season. I’ll help you decide what’s realistic.
Will I need to take supplements?
Not necessarily. Some resets benefit from targeted herbs or supplements; others are primarily about food, movement, rest, and acupuncture. I only recommend what I believe will genuinely support your specific pattern — never a pre-packaged kit.
Can I do this while working full-time / parenting / traveling?
Yes. Every reset I design is built around your actual life — not an idealized version of it. I’d rather help you complete a gentle 10-day reset with integrity than watch you abandon an unrealistic 30-day program in week two.
What if I’ve tried cleanses before and they’ve made me feel worse?
That’s important information, and I want to hear about it. Often, what people call a “bad cleanse experience” is a cleanse that moved things faster than the body could clear them. We’ll go at your pace — with the support systems (acupuncture, hydration, rest, binders where appropriate) to help your body actually eliminate what it’s releasing.
Do you guarantee results?
No, and I’d be skeptical of anyone who does. What I can promise is that I’ll listen carefully, adjust as we go, and bring 20+ years of clinical experience to whatever pattern shows up.
The best time for a reset is when your body is asking for one. The second-best time is the season you’re in right now.

“Working with Dr. LeTa has been a Godsend. She meets you where you are, listens, and designs a cleanse that makes the most sense for you. I am a “special case” and was afraid since I’ve had a bad experience in the past. She walked me through it and was there when I had a question. I highly recommend working with her.”
